Monarchs Sports Club was formed in 1992, under the banner of AM Adelaide (Abruzzo Molise Adelaide S.C.) by a group of friends who wanted to meet regularly. It was never foreseen that the club would last longer than a few years. The initial roster included 22 players and a Captain/Coach who managed both senior & reserve squads.
Now in it’s 17th year, the club has grown to have over 60 playing members, 4 coaches and a management committee of 8. The club has enjoyed success with 2 Premiership trophies, 2 league Top Goal-scorer awards, and 2 league Best & Fairest winners.
The club facilities located at Grange Reserve are excellent. The clubhouse, which adjoins the SA Amateur Soccer League Head Office, includes a kitchen, fully licensed bar and changerooms.
The objective of the Monarchs Sports Club is to become one of the most respected amateur sporting organisations in South Australia with a view to developing strong links with the local community, business and charity groups. Our long term goal is to establishing a youth academy which will strengthen our membership and provide future continuity.
